‘Westmorland Worsted’ is an alpaca and wool yarn. It is our own blend of 50% British alpaca with 50% soft, fine Blue Faced Leicester wool.
Westmorland Worsted is available in its natural oatmeal grey and twelve over-dyed shades which give depth to the colours.
This yarn knits to worsted or light aran weight knitting patterns, (but always knit a tension swatch). There are approximately 200m per 100g. The yarn is sold in 100g hanks. If you would like us to ball your yarn for you, please make a note on the order.
Wash gently by hand or in the wool cycle of your machine with a small amount of non-bio detergent. Do not tumble dry. The yarn has been washed, but some surface residue dye may come out in the first wash, particularly with the deeper colours.
