Amelie Jumper Knitting Pattern
The Amelie jumper knitting pattern is designed by Gudrun Johnston and knitted in fingering weight yarn. The garment is worked from the bottom up in one piece, uniting the sleeves and body at the underarm and working the yoke using a Simultaneous Set In Sleeves construction. The neckline is then finished with an I-Cord Bind off with ties.
Sizes: 30.5 (33, 35.5, 37.25, 39.75, 42.25, 44,5, 47, 49.5, 52) inches round chest. Recommended to be worn with 1-2 inches of negative ease.
Needles: 3.5mm 32″ or 40″ circular needles. 3.5 mm set of dpns or long circular needle (if working magic loop for sleeves).
Yarn: Short sleeve version: 750 (800, 850, 900, 960, 1025, 1080, 1140, 1200, 1260) yards of Fingering weight yarn. Long sleeve version: 990 (1070, 1150, 1200, 1290, 1370, 1440, 1520, 1600, 1685) yards of Fingering weight yarn.
Gauge: 26 sts and 36 rounds to 4 inches in stocking stitch using 3.5mm needles.
